Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ’S
What should I expect during my first lesson?
To have a lot of fun! Our club has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, we understand that your first class can be daunting and we are here to help. Your coach will talk you through what objectives you have for the class and your first few training sessions. They will then give you a clear outline of what you should focus on as a beginner in Jiu Jitsu.
Why choose BJJ over other martial arts like Tae Kwon Do (TKD), Karate, Ninjitsu or Aikido?
Unlike the other martial arts such as Tae Kwon Do (TKD), Karate, Ninjitsu or Aikido, Jiu-Jitsu provides the skills to defend yourself in a grappling or wrestling situation, such as being pinned to the ground or being held down against a fence, wall or the floor.
